The cracks you have noticed between the deck and coachroof join are certainly connected with the creaking experienced when walking on the deck. The problem you are experiencing is almost certainly to do with de-lamination of the balsa core/foam, which is bonded to the underside of the deck when the boat is built. Many of the older 32s do have this problem of de-lamination, which will progressively get worse over the years and result in cracking of the gelcoat.

There is a solution, which we have found quite successful, as advised by surveyors and that is to drill holes in the affected area and inject resin and then make good the holes. This is in my view a professional job and you should speak to a local GRP repairer or shipwright to give you a hand.
