I am the proud owner of a 1983 fin keeled Sadler29, which I have had for 15 years. Sadly I am now selling her. The fin version sails a little better than the bilge - faster & points up better. The hulls were mostly well made, but the clear gelcoat used was difficult to get even and you could see a very small amount of wicking. I put Gelshield on mine some time age with good results. The old Bukh 20 engine may be a bit old by now - I had a number of problems - head & gaskets, seals, corrosion etc. I recently fitted a Beta 20 - much smaller, lighter, quiter & easier to start. If you would like more details rlease get in touch directly with me. Incidently I am the captain of the 29's in the owner's association.
