I have modified the water tank arrangement on my Sadler 34 but as a preventatative measure rather than a cure for existing osmosis. My boat is the bilge keeled version where the keel retaining nuts and backing plates are located inside the tank and were showing signs of corrosion and weeping. I fabricated a complete stainless steel tank which is fitted inside the existing tank space but incorporates a proper inspection hatch and more effective baffling. Tainting of the drinking water has also been eliminated. The existing fibreglass lid was not used. Incidentally should anyone want an original GRP tank lid please cintact me. The capacity of the new s/s tank is less than the original but not markedly so due design. If you would like to see the arrangement or would like futher details please feel free to get in touch.
