Today I tackled the job of completely removing the lid to our water tank (under the starboard berth) in order to give it a thorough scrub. There seem to be some evidence of osmosis; small blisters, around 1 cm in diameter, and upon puncturing them, the sweet scented resinous smell is aparent. My question is, do I leave as is, or install a collaspisble plastic inner tank, or possibly apply an epocy paint to the inner surface.
If anyone has had any experience with this problem, any comments would be gratefull.
