Drying out with the Sadler 34 bilge keel version could not be easier. Many people with bilge keelers select them, because they want to dry out every tide. Perhaps the important thing is to check that the ground is reasonable in terms of soft mud, hard sand or shingle and that you have not got so much variation that it may be significantly softer on one side than the other.

Perhaps the only thing to be careful of, is that if you are drying out on a concrete hard or slip-way, then do select a day when there is not too much swell or movement, because the boat will “thump” very hard whilst taking the ground.
