Have used furlex with the twin groove for many years and have never had any problems re-tight grooves but it is important to have the correct luff tape.
Will be interested on how your new sail turns out.
Suffer the same problems to winward with 150 Genoa and cannot make up my mind as to which to order to give me a better general performance in stronger winds.
