Don't know about you but a got a rope around my prop many years ago and bent the "P" bracket and it began to leak.
It's quite a job to cut out all the GRP inside!!! I found the holes in the angle pieces that bolted the bracket into position (under all that GRP) were in the wrong place for the new "P" bracket and so had to get new ones cut and bent (They are slightly off 90 degrees) I was lucky to find a large mechanic with an equally large hammer and vice who bent each one the correct amount with one blow of his hammer!!!
Make sure when replacing the bracket that you get it offset to allow the prop shaft to slide past the skeg.
My 34 is No.96 made in 1986. The "P" bracket came from Sadlers then. I don't know if Lake Engineering in Poole can help they seem to have supplied quite a few bits to Sadlers (Got my rudder bearings made by them)
Good luck.
