The Sadler 34 has an enviable reputation as a rugged and safe
cruising yacht, with excellent sea-keeping qualities - layout is
practical with full headroom throughout and built-in buoyancy to
Signet is with only the second owner and
has always been carefully maintained, with many upgrades such as Bukh
24, Gori prop, recent sails, epoxy treatment, self-tail winches, new
upholstery and so on, all contribute to making this Sadler 34 well
We bought her in 2001 to replace a Sadler 32 and we are only the
second owners. Signet has proved to be a good boat for local cruising
and excellent for going further afield. The traditional layout has
proved to suit cruising with just two on board – not too many steps
into the cabin, plenty of handholds, and a secure berth with lee cloth
for resting crew. A seat can be fitted in the cockpit entrance, to
provide good visibility of instruments, external view and access to
the radar head which is mounted conveniently in the companionway when
offshore. The wrap-around galley works well and provides a secure
position for the cook, especially at sea.
The boat is in good
order - sails, batteries and upholstery have all been renewed in
recent years and the original engine was replaced with a Bukh 24 in
Sept 2005. Comprehensive maintenance log available.
